On Earth Day 2011, Recycling Roundup in partnership with the Town of Winthrop and Methow Recycles, launched public recycling in Winthrop.  The project is an on-going community collaboration supported by 10 valley businesses who have stepped up to make recycling available in public spaces throughout town.  The goal is to reduce waste and demonstrate our community's commitment to recycling.  The public bins were made by local craftsmen out of re-purposed wine barrels.  Thanks to all involved for making this community recycling project happen.
